The 19th World Summit of Nobel Peace Laureates held in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico, from September 18 to 21, 2024. It brought together Nobel Peace Prize laureates, world leaders, activists, and young people committed to promoting peace and resolving conflicts. Among the attendees were the winners of the Peace Prize: Shirini Ebadi, Tawwakol Karman, Rigoberta Menchú, Oscar Arias Sánchez and Lech Walesa.
The summit included a series of panels, conferences and discussions that addressed crucial issues such as poverty eradication, education for peace and the importance of international cooperation. One of the most emotional moments was the silent march for peace, where the participants, dressed in white, walked to the Government Palace.
In this context, the Genesis 4D project, directed by the sculptor Miguel Peraza, played a prominent role. This innovative project focused on transitioning perception from traditional sculpture to cryptosculpture, an art form that uses digital technologies and blockchain to create and authenticate works. The presentation of Genesis 4D at the summit was a testament to the power of interdisciplinary collaboration and how science and art can come together to promote peace and innovation.
Miguel Peraza, together with Mexican scientists Alejandro Pedroza, Miguel Mayorga, Héctor Báez and Enrique Canchola, showed how cryptosculpture not only preserves the integrity and authenticity of artworks, but also opens up new possibilities for public interaction and participation. The work “Genesis 4D” was presented as an example of this fusion between art and technology, challenging the traditional perception of art.
The importance of the Genesis 4D project lies in its ability to inspire new ways of thinking and create new brain mechanisms for the perception and induction of emotions. By integrating digital technology and blockchain, the authenticity and traceability of artworks is guaranteed, which is crucial in a world where counterfeiting and plagiarism are constant concerns. In addition, cryptosculpture allows for greater accessibility and democratization of art, as works can be shared and experienced digitally by a global audience.
