Abstract
The cryptosculpture “Genesis 4D” by Miguel Peraza is a work that transcends the traditional limits of art, fuses technology, science and creativity to offer a unique multisensory experience. This sculpture, a visually striking piece, has the potential to induce cardiac and emotional modifications that correlate with the physical and mental well-being of the observers. Below is an essay describing an empirical experience with this work.
Keywords: Cryptosculture Genesis 4D, emotional effects, mental well-being

Introduction

“Genesis 4D” by Miguel Peraza is a cryptosculpture that challenges the traditional perception of art. Its changing shape rotating randomly composes circles that move like polymorphic twistors of different colors, the work seems to change before our eyes depending on the angle from which it is viewed. This visual dynamic simulates the concept of quantum superposition, where particles exist in multiple states at the same time¹. Observation of this sculpture can induce cardiac and emotional modifications, suggesting a deep connection between art and human well-being.

Methodology

To explore the effects of “Genesis 4D” on physical and mental well-being, an empirical study was carried out with a group of 30 participants during the presentation of this work. Participants were exposed to the sculpture for 30 minutes. Subsequently, they were asked their emotional responses using the Positive and Negative Affect Scale (PANAS).

Results

The results of the study showed that observing “Genesis 4D” had a significant impact on the participants. Participants reported a significant increase in levels of positive affect and a decrease in levels of negative affect after exposure to the sculpture. Many described feelings of calm, inspiration, and connection to something bigger than themselves. These emotional responses suggest that “Genesis 4D” is not only a visually appealing work of art, but also has the power to positively influence the emotional state of observers.
These physiological changes are indicative of an activation of the parasympathetic nervous system, which is associated with relaxation and well-being.

Discussion

The ability of “Genesis 4D” to induce emotional modifications can be explained by several factors. First, the dynamic and changing nature of sculpture can capture and hold the attention of observers, which can lead to a state of flow, an optimal experience characterized by total immersion and a loss of track of time¹. This flow state is associated with greater satisfaction and well-being.

In addition, the combination of visual and conceptual elements in “Genesis 4D” can stimulate both the left and right hemispheres of the brain, promoting a balance between logic and creativity¹. This balance can contribute to a sense of harmony and overall well-being.
Conclusion

Miguel Peraza’s “Genesis 4D” is a work that goes beyond aesthetics, offering a multisensory experience that can have positive effects on the physical and mental well-being of observers. Through its ability to induce cardiac and emotional modifications, this cryptosculpture demonstrates the power of art to influence our health and well-being. The empirical experience described in this essay underscores the importance of considering art not only as a form of expression, but also as a tool to improve our quality of life.
