A metaphor of Renewal and Unity
The concept in “Two Flames,” as depicted by Miguel Peraza in his sculpture, is a metaphor rich and deep in symbolism, encompassing multiple dimensions of human and spiritual experience.
Symbolism in the Two Flames
Throughout human history, fire has been a very powerful and enigmatic symbol. From the myth of Prometheus, who stole fire from the gods to give it to men, to the religious ceremonies and rituals of various cultures, fire represents both destruction and creation, purification and renewal of the spirit. In this context, the concept of two intertwined flames of Peraza’s sculpture takes on an even deeper meaning, symbolizing the union of complementary forces and the search for spiritual and emotional balance.
Fire Transformative Energy
Fire, in its essence, is a manifestation of energy and transformation. The fire granted to humanity by Prometheus is an act that symbolizes daring and passion for knowledge and progress. This fire not only illuminates and warms, but also has the power to renew and transform. In this sense, the sculpture “Two Flames” can also represent the duality inherent in all things: light and darkness, creation and destruction, love and hate. This duality is essential to understanding the nature of the human spirit and its capacity to achieve peace and harmony.
Intertwined flames
